You Won't Go Wrong With A GE Hotpoint Electric Range

The Hotpoint electric range is a classic appliance. Why, my grandma still has her stove-top from the 1960s in her small cottage by the lake and it still works wonderfully. But then, General Electric is noted for providing some of the most dependable kitchen appliances out there, and their Hot Point models are no exception.

I've encountered quite a few bad brands in my days working as a salesperson at a local appliance retailer, and I could always attest to the quality of GE products. There are some other solid brands out there, but GE just creates some classic workhorses. We also had quite a few of those fancy European (and especially Italian) appliances in our store, and they certainly had definite aesthetic advantages - they're pretty little things, really - but we would get them back time and time again with a host of problems.

This was really a pain because the parts were so much more expensive. Although the initial commissions on merchandise like that were higher, and they were nice looking appliances at first glance, I soon found that it wasn't worthwhile selling them. It not only cost the shop money (which I became a partial investor in after a couple of years) on account of the greater number of repairs we were forced to do on the machines, but it also adversely affected my sales in the long run.

People get upset when you sell them stuff that breaks. Even if you did not know about the quality problems, and willing to fix the problem ASAP, it still was quite a bit of time wasted in someone's day. From all of my experience, I can state that GE makes some great appliances, and their electric ranges especially stood out. Not only to do they keep up to date with all of the new (and now apparently necessary features), but they are much less likely to break.

Fewer and fewer companies make quality goods, and the Hotpoint electric ranges are still the workhorses that they always were. Really, if you're really using your kitchen appliances, there is no cause to just go for anything that looks good. Go for something that combines style and function. And make certain it is a good product. From my experience, you can't go wrong with a GE Hotpoint range.
