After hearing how Richard was unsuccessful in taking ownership of his drinking circumstances and how he unwillingly followed the treatment regimen while in the city jail, the judge knew that it was only a matter of time before he would be seeing Richard once again in court about his hazardous and abusive drinking behavior.
As the magistrate thought about Richard's circumstance, he couldn't help but think about how some people never "connect the dots" and learn how to live in a mature and accountable manner.
